Samsung has a software fix for Galaxy S26 Ultra's red screen issue

Red Screen Issue on Galaxy S26 Ultra

Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra have reported that parts of the display turn red. Many feared it was a hardware failure, such as OLED panel burn-in. Samsung has now confirmed that it is a software problem.

Cause and Solution

According to Samsung, the color balance changes when exposed to strong lighting at maximum brightness. The issue can be resolved by optimizing software for color correction. Samsung has already developed an update that should fix the problem.

Availability of the Fix

Currently, the fix is only available at Samsung service centers. Users who have encountered the issue must visit a service center to get the update. Samsung plans to distribute the update to the general public, but the timeline is not yet known.

Samsung assures that this is not a hardware defect and that the issue is fully fixable via software.
