A poll among Android Authority readers revealed which keyboard would become the most popular Gboard replacement if Google suddenly discontinued its keyboard. After more than 2,300 votes, it turned out that Microsoft SwiftKey is the clear favorite with 34.3% of the votes.

SwiftKey is popular for its long-standing reputation and broad compatibility. Samsung Keyboard, despite being pre-installed on many phones, fell behind. Among readers, there were also mentions of lesser-known keyboards like Yandex Keyboard or Fossify Keyboard.
Interestingly, some users combine different keyboards – for example, HeliBoard for typing and FUTO for voice input. Opinions on Samsung Keyboard are mixed; some describe it as a "hot mess."
